Terms & Conditions & Cancellation Policy

1.Booking & Confirmation & Payment

    A deposit of 20% of the total cost of transport is required to secure your tour dates. Transport cannot be held until a deposit has been paid. The deposit enables us to reserve your driver and vehicle and confirm the tour arrangements.

    Once a deposit or payment has been received, we will issue a written confirmation. This confirmation forms a binding contract governed by the laws of Ireland and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

    The remaining balance must be paid no later than 60 calendar days prior to departure. Failure to make payment by this deadline may result in your booking being treated as cancelled.

    Payments may be made by credit card or bank transfer/wire. We accept all major credit cards. O’Briens Chauffeur Tours are not responsible for any bank charges incurred during bank transfers.

    2.Client Alterations 

    If you wish to amend your confirmed itinerary – whether dates or content – we will make every effort to accommodate your request, though changes cannot be guaranteed.

    Alterations may result in increased costs and may require adjustments to accommodations or itinerary structure. O’Briens Chauffeur Tours are not responsible for booking or cancellation of accommodation. Bookings and cancellations are the responsibility of the client.

    Within 60 days of the tour start date:

    No changes can be made to itinerary dates or overnight locations

    Any requested changes within the period will be treated as a new booking, with associated costs applied.

    3.Client Cancellations

      If you choose to cancel your tour after receiving booking confirmation, the following policies apply:

      Deposit Payment

      Cancellations made 61 days or more before the tour start date: 50% of the transport deposit/payments is refundable.

      Cancellations made within 60 days of the tour start date: deposit/payment is non-refundable

      Balance Payment

      Full Balance is due 60 days prior to the tour start date

      This balance in non-refundable, except if O’Briens Chauffeur Tours cancels the tour (see section 4)

      4. Activity Cancellations

      O’Briens Chauffeur Tours take no responsibility for costs incurred due to cancellation of activities

      O’Briens Chauffeur Tours – Alterations or Cancellations

      Once your booking is confirmed, we will make every reasonable effort to deliver the agreed holiday arrangements. However, we reserve the right to alter or cancel all or part of the tour if circumstances beyond our control require it.

      In the unlikely event that O’Briens cancels your tour:

      O’Briens Chauffeur Tours is not liable for incidental or consequential expenses incurred by the client. We will, however, assist in sourcing alternative travel arrangements where possible.

      5. Insurance

      Travel insurance is not included in the price of your tour. We strongly recommend that all clients obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering:

      Clients must ensure that any activities undertaken during the tour are covered by their insurance policy. Some activities may require specific coverage. Please confirm with your insurer before participating. We reserve the right to refuse participation if appropriate insurance has not been arranged.

      6. Weather Warnings

      O’Briens Chauffeur Tours adheres to official government guidance regarding weather alerts. Met Eireann is Ireland’s national meteorological authority.

      In the event of a Red Weather Warning, all touring will be suspended until the warning has passed. 

      7. Photos for Marketing 

      Your driver guide may request to take photos during the tour. These images may be used by O’Briens Chauffeur Tours for marketing purposes, including online platforms. If you prefer not to have your photos used, inform your driver guide and your wishes will be respected fully.

      8. Complaints

      In the unlikely event that you wish to make a formal complaint against O’Briens, please notify your driver guide at the earliest opportunity. If the issue cannot be resolved immediately, or during your tour despite best efforts, you should submit your complaint in writing as soon as possible after your tour, and no later than 21 days from the tour end date to allow for full investigation. Complaints received after this 21-day period cannot be considered. 

      9. Smoking & Alcohol

      Smoking or consumption of alcohol is not permitted on any of our vehicles.
